Auckland Airport Lodge

This is the place to stay if you're flying out early the next day. It's not the Ritz but it can hold up to 6 people so great for a family. It is basic motel accommodation but the room was very clean and the sheets were crisp and snowy. With a small kitchenette, large bathroom and a big flatscreen, it has everything you want for that one nighter. There are a few shops only a few minutes walk away but only basic takeaway, minimart and liquor so if you want that sit-down meal you will need to look further afield. The bonus is the airport shuttle which is no charge and can start at 3am for those early flyers.

The gentleman who drove us to the airport was very kind and accomodating We hadn’t slept all night the service station close by was very noisy. So we were ready earlier then we had originally booked to go to the airport but he didn’t mind taking us earlier.

I booked here because we were originally going to land early in the morning and would need transport to our accommodation i.e a shuttle. Even though we ended up on a flight that landed early afternoon, we are very appreciative of this service. The rooms are very spacious with an excellent aircon. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Will definitely book again and will also take advantage of the long-term parking.

It was nice and clean, it had everything I needed to sleep and make a cup of tea. The shower was nice and hot with good pressure. Being able to leave my car for 7 days is wonderful and the shuttle service was fantastic too.

We had the 2 bedroom family room and it was great. Good living space and kitchen with microwave and hot plates for cooking. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Booking the free shuttle to the airport was simple and they had a handy trailer that could accommodated 3 bike boxes which was super handy. Definately worth staying here if you are transitting to or from the airport.
